We’re not claiming to be perfect, and no small brand can be. But at bloom + thread, we’re committed to doing things differently. We partner with vendors who share our values: manufacturers based in the U.S., suppliers using fair trade practices, and businesses that create fabrics from recycled or low-impact materials. We keep our packaging minimal and eco-friendly, and we’re constantly working to be more thoughtful in everything we do.
We also believe sustainability isn’t just about how something is made, it's about how we consume. In a world of trends that move at lightning speed, we encourage you to shop slower. Look for timeless pieces. Wear them on repeat. Reimagine them. Repair them. Pass them on. The most sustainable wardrobe is one that lasts.
Lastly, don’t forget the power of shopping small. Every purchase from a local or independent business helps build a future that’s more ethical, more sustainable, and more connected. It’s not about being perfect, it’s about doing better, together.
Thanks for being here. Thanks for caring.

From Fabric to Future: Why We Do What We Do
At bloom + thread, our mission goes beyond clothing. We’re here because we believe in slowing down, consuming less, and making fashion that cares- for people, and for the planet.
The truth is, the fashion industry is one of the largest polluters in the world. Every year, over 92 million tons of textile waste end up in landfills. That’s enough to fill one garbage truck every second. A big part of the problem? Fast fashion. Clothes made cheaply and quickly, often in sweatshops, using materials that aren't meant to last. These pieces are made to be worn a few times, then tossed, leaving behind environmental destruction and human exploitation.
1. Thoughtful Sourcing
We prioritize sourcing our materials in the U.S. whenever possible to support local industries and reduce transportation emissions. When we do source globally, we take the time to research and ensure our partners uphold ethical and fair labor practices.
2. Better Materials, Always
We choose fabrics that are either recycled, organic, or lower-impact, with a focus on durability, softness, and biodegradability. Because what you wear shouldn’t come at the planet’s expense.
3. Intentionally Made in Small Batches
We produce in small quantities to avoid excess inventory and waste. This helps us stay mindful of what we make, and lets us put care into every piece , not just the first one off the line.
4. Low-Waste Packaging
Our packaging is recyclable, plastic-free wherever possible, and always minimal. We believe your clothes should arrive beautifully, without leaving a mess behind.
5. Transparency Over Trends
We don’t chase fast fashion. We believe in sharing how and where your clothes are made, and building trust by doing the right thing, even when it’s not the easiest.
